Our Mission

The Women’s Business Center promotes economic self-sufficiency for all women of North Carolina through entrepreneurship. We are committed to increasing the number and the success rate of women-owned businesses.

Who We Are

The Women’s Business Center, established in 2000, is a partnership program between the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development (NCIMED) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SBA Disclosure

The WBC-NC is partnership program between the U.S. Small Business Administrations (SBA) and the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development, Inc. (NCIMED). The Women’s Business Center is funded by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. SBA’s cooperation does not constitute or imply its endorsement of any options, products or services. Reasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. All SBA and Institute programs are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
