The Institute's Marketing Division identifies potential
market and procurement opportunities for North Carolina's
Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs). This
activity continues to be a major focus of the Institute's
staff which provides support, advice and assistance to both
private and public sector purchasing departments that are
trying to enhance their utilization of minority firms in the
state.
The Institute's staff has over twentyfive years of
experience in working with the North Carolina minority
business community, and is continually asked to provide
input for improving the climate for minority business
vendors seeking business opportunities in the private and
public sectors.
Many of the Institutes efforts focus on the development
of partnerships with minority business development
organizations, local governments and private corporations.
